First rain . . . then snow . . . and now strong winds! After a fairly warm and mild autumn, winter has really arrived in Scotland. There have been winds of up to 90 miles per hour affecting central and southern parts of the country. People have been advised not to travel for the rest of the day as the winds are causing chaos for roads and public transport. Schools across Scotland have been shut this afternoon, with pupils and teachers being sent home. Universities, offices and bridges have also been closed. The Met Office (the UK national weather service) has issued a red warning, which is the most serious one you can have. The weather is a very popular thing to talk about in Britain - and now more than ever!

Luckily the autumn is being much milder in Cabrales! Will it snow this winter?
ReplyDeleteToday I went to see Los Bufones de Pría. I think they were ALMOST as spectacular as the weather in Scotland! There has been some snow in Scotland already, but I'm sure there will be even more after Christmas. I hope so anyway because I want to build a snowman!
